EXS Exercise Science (EXS)

EXS110  Anatomy of Exercise  (4 Credits)

This course provides an introduction to the structure and function of the skeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary/vascular systems as they apply to exercise and rehabilitation. Students will study and apply various musculoskeletal and kinesiological principles during lab activities.
Prerequisites: BIO122 (may be taken concurrently) with a minimum grade of C or BIO123 (may be taken concurrently) with a minimum grade of C

This course reinforces and expands the principles, applications, and theories of exercise science and its role in prevention, wellness and/or rehabilitation. Includes instruction in, and the practice of, selected testing procedures and exercise applications.
Prerequisites: EXS110 with a minimum grade of C
