Program Learning Outcomes
This program is designed to prepare students to demonstrate the following learning outcomes:
- Design and implement relational databases by applying normalization principles, defining relationships among tables, and creating entity-relationship diagrams.
- Demonstrate proficiency using structured query language to define new database objects and manage and manipulate data within a database.
- Create SQL programming constructs such as views, stored procedures, user-defined functions, indexes, and triggers.
- Apply best practices to manage a SQL Server instance including configuring users and permissions, automating jobs, importing/exporting data, performing database backups, and analyzing database performance.
