Academic Advising

Students should make an appointment to see their advisor before registering for classes each semester. They should have prepared a completed registration form, including courses they wish to take, prior to this meeting.

The classes in this certificate also apply toward the completion of an Industrial Maintenance One-Year Certificate (4352), a Welding Technology One-Year Certificate, an Industrial Technology Degree (4300) and an Industrial Technology – Industrial Maintenance Major (4351).

Program Learning Outcomes

This program is designed to prepare students to demonstrate the following learning outcomes:

  • Proficiency of equipment using theory, simulation and associated laboratory trainers and equipment.

  • Working knowledge of drawings and schematics

  • Demonstrate the safe use of welding equipment.
