Marketing & Sales Management (AAB)

In Stark State College's marketing and sales management program, you’ll learn how to analyze markets, understand customer behavior and develop strategies that help businesses grow. You’ll explore how companies determine pricing, promote products, reach target audiences and compete effectively in today’s fast-moving economy.

As you progress through the program, you’ll build the skills to identify marketing opportunities, solve real business challenges and create strategies that attract and engage customers. You’ll learn how to define target markets, communicate the value of products and services, gather meaningful market research and develop comprehensive marketing plans that drive results.

Program Learning Outcomes

This program is designed to prepare students to demonstrate the following learning outcomes:

  • Describe and analyze patterns of consumer behavior within contemporary markets and plan and implement target marketing processes through segmentation, targeting and positioning tactics. 
  • Apply appropriate mathematical, statistical and other quantitative and marketing research  techniques and methodology to gather data, analyze marketing situations and develop appropriate marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrate and apply professionalism, teamwork, and strong written and oral communications skills. 
  • Prepare, organize, and institute an effective marketing planning process including presentation of the key elements in a plan.
  • Establish and maintain high standards of sanitation and food safety as established by the ServSafe Program.
