Because of the strong emphasis on science in this major, applicants must have successfully completed Chemistry and Biology in high school. Students who did not complete the courses in high school, and those who prefer to refresh their knowledge of the material, should complete the listed pre-requisites.

A student may take MTH125 College Algebra and MTH130 Trigonometry over two semesters to satisfy this requirement.

Students who test directly into Analytical Geometry and Calculus I should contact the Math Department Chair for the possibility of receiving credit for Precalculus.

Program Learning Outcomes
This program is designed to prepare students to demonstrate the following learning outcomes:
- Performs scheduling and inspecting for conformance to blueprints and specifications.
- Utilize modern instruments, methods, and techniques (including CAD) to produce, comprehend, and interpret architectural and engineering construction documents and presentations.
- Determine forces and stresses in elementary structural systems.
- Mastery of electrical circuit analysis using theory, simulation, and associated laboratory equipment. Ability to recognize and apply semiconductor power electronic circuits.
