Because of strong emphasis on science in this major, applicants must have successfully completed Biology in high school. Students who did not complete the courses in high school, and those who prefer to refresh their knowledge of the material, should complete the listed pre-requisites.

Minimum grade of “C” in all technical and non-technical courses in the program curriculum is required.
Application deadline is March 31 for Fall admission.
BIO101 Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology is waived as a prerequisite course for Paramedics applying for advanced standing admissions.
The Stark State College ADN Program has several written articulation agreements with universities for RN to BSN Completion Programs.
This program requires an application (separate from the College).

This program is designed to prepare students to demonstrate the following learning outcomes:

- Use leadership, management, legal, and ethical principles to guide practice as a professional nurse.
- Successfully pass the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification exam.
