The Toyota T-TEN Regional program is designed to prepare students to become technicians at Toyota and Lexus dealerships. Certified Toyota T-TEN instructors will provide students with access to Toyota vehicle technology through curriculum designed by the University of Toyota and accredited by the National Automotive Technicians Educational Foundation (NATEF). Students successfully completing the Toyota T- TEN Regional Program Electrical, Brakes, Steering and Suspension Career Enhancement Certificate will be prepared to take three ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification Tests (A-4, A-5, and A-6). The program structure also allows ample time for students to attend classes at Stark State College while working at an approved Toyota or Lexus dealership.

Program Learning Outcomes
This program is designed to prepare students to demonstrate the following learning outcomes:

Students will gain the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain Toyota's electrical systems, including battery, charging, starting, lighting, and electronic control systems, using Toyota-specific diagnostic tools and ensuring adherence to safety and performance standards.

Graduates will develop expertise in servicing and repairing Toyota brake systems, including hydraulic brakes, anti-lock braking systems (ABS), and electronic brake force distribution (EBD), ensuring safe and effective braking performance in line with Toyota’s technical specifications.

Students will be proficient in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing Toyota steering and suspension systems, including electronic power steering (EPS), shock absorbers, struts, and alignment procedures, to ensure vehicle handling and comfort meet Toyota’s standards.

Graduates will demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex interactions between Toyota’s electrical, brake, and steering/suspension systems, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to resolve issues related to vehicle stability, traction control, and ride quality.
