Program Learning Outcomes

This program is designed to prepare students to demonstrate the following learning outcomes:

  • Develop proficiency in using the Unity Game Engine, including its interface, asset management, and scripting capabilities, to design and prototype interactive game environments.

  • Write efficient and maintainable code in C# for game mechanics and systems, demonstrating an understanding of object-oriented programming and software development best practices.

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of core game design principles, including mechanics, dynamics, and aesthetics, and apply these concepts to create engaging game experiences.

  • Create and import 3D models and animations into Unity, utilizing tools such as Blender or Maya, and implement them effectively within a game environment.

  • Design intuitive user interfaces and enhance user experience through thoughtful layout, accessibility, and interaction design principles tailored to diverse player demographics.

  • Understand and apply the full game development pipeline, from concept development and pre-production to testing and deployment, ensuring the integration of feedback throughout the process.
